Co-founded by Teamwrkx Construction and Johnny Mouradian, President of the San Jose Stealth professional lacrosse team, Sticks 2 Schools is devoted to reducing the epidemic of childhood obesity by motivating young people to be more physically active. The non-profit has partnered with over 60 Bay Area elementary, middle, and high schools, introducing lacrosse into their physical education curriculum and after school programs. Sticks 2 Schools not only educates youth on the importance of being active, but cultivates an understanding of teamwork while having fun. Since 2005, Sticks 2 Schools has reached more than 38,000 youth, and raised almost $100,000 in sponsorships and donations from local businesses and community members.
